Well, the last time I updated, it was a snowy and cold Easter Sunday.\u00a0 These past few days, the weather has been sunny and warm\u00a0here in Fredericton, which is quite the contrast from that last post.<\/p>\n

I’m slowly\u00a0getting back to a point where I can freely update this thing without having it feel forced.\u00a0 I believe Tenacious D had a song (or perhaps an episode of their show) dedicated to their “search for inspirado”.<\/p>\n

Well, this just might be it for me…<\/p>\n

There’s no reason for Shaq Fu<\/em> to be in there…\u00a0 but anyway.<\/p>\n

My lovely wife got this for me for our first wedding anniversary (holy crap, already??), and it has re-invigorated my love of retro gaming.\u00a0 It’s called a Retro Duo, which, as you can tell by the photo, can play both NES and Super NES titles.\u00a0 An adapter can be purchased to play Sega Genesis titles, buuuuut I’m not sure I’ll go down that road.<\/p>\n

I have this, and don't really think I need anything else.<\/p><\/div>\n

In any case, there’s something to be said about playing a game from its cartridge.\u00a0 I don’t know if it’s the\u00a0fuzzy image, the lag, the strange glitches that show up on each side of the screen as you scroll, or what…\u00a0 but it sure feels nice.<\/p>\n
