{"id":622,"date":"2012-02-20T17:56:26","date_gmt":"2012-02-20T17:56:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/?p=622"},"modified":"2012-02-20T18:30:44","modified_gmt":"2012-02-20T18:30:44","slug":"youve-met-with-a-terrible-fate-havent-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/?p=622","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;You&#8217;ve met with a terrible fate, haven&#8217;t you?&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once again, I&#8217;ve fallen a bit behind on the &#8220;posting regularly&#8221; front.\u00a0 It&#8217;s perfectly alright with me, since you can&#8217;t really force this kind of thing.<\/p>\n<p>I recently completed <em>The Legend of Zelda: Majora&#8217;s Mask<\/em> and began the process of editing cutscenes together to make a movie out them.\u00a0 My thoughts on the game are quite mixed, since it has some clever puzzles, challenging temples and fun boss battles&#8230;\u00a0\u00a0just not\u00a0a whole lot\u00a0of them.\u00a0 It only technically has four temples,\u00a0where the rest is &#8220;fluff&#8221;, and not necessarily all of it fun to go through, should you choose to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Even though I have a few negative things to say about it, I loved the atmosphere, and enjoyed the game overall.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll elaborate this in a review some time later on.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/e056R97svz8\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I will say this right now, because it needs to be said.\u00a0 The atmosphere, as dark and grim as it is, wouldn&#8217;t be complete without the\u00a0music to carry the mood even further.<\/p>\n<p>In the final\u00a0moments of the game&#8217;s\u00a0&#8220;Third Day&#8221;,\u00a0just before the moon crashes into Clock Town (the game&#8217;s primary setting), the music\u00a0in the video\u00a0above slowly creeps up on you.\u00a0 A timer appears counting down how long you have left before the moon crashes, and the game ends.<\/p>\n<p>You only truly get to listen to the music during an optional side-quest late\u00a0in the game, where Link is tasked in reuniting\u00a0two lost lovers.\u00a0 With less than a minute to spare before their world is destroyed, you&#8217;re left waiting with the lovestruck woman until the very end&#8230;\u00a0 when the love of her life finally walks through those doors with barely a minute to spare.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s about as much as I can describe without getting too cheesy, but the movie I post will make things\u00a0a bit clearer.\u00a0 As you&#8217;re waiting for the clock to wind down and the building is constantly shaking from the impending moon collision, you can&#8217;t help but think of how weird and truly messed up a situation our own apocalypse would be like.<\/p>\n<p>Not that I believe we&#8217;re headed for an apocalypse any time soon.\u00a0 I just find it fascinating.\u00a0 That&#8217;s all!<\/p>\n<p>Star Wars game post soon!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Once again, I&#8217;ve fallen a bit behind on the &#8220;posting regularly&#8221; front.\u00a0 It&#8217;s perfectly alright with me, since you can&#8217;t really force this kind of thing.
