{"id":1077,"date":"2012-09-20T11:49:11","date_gmt":"2012-09-20T11:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/?p=1077"},"modified":"2012-09-20T11:49:11","modified_gmt":"2012-09-20T11:49:11","slug":"my-top-100-84-mission-impossible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/?p=1077","title":{"rendered":"My Top 100: #84 &#8211; Mission: Impossible"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_1083\" style=\"width: 539px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Mission_Impossible_for_N64_Front_Cover.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1083\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1083\" title=\"Mission_Impossible_for_N64,_Front_Cover\" src=\"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Mission_Impossible_for_N64_Front_Cover.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Mission_Impossible_for_N64_Front_Cover.jpg 529w, https:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Mission_Impossible_for_N64_Front_Cover-300x206.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 529px) 100vw, 529px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1083\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">1998 &#8211; Ocean Software (Nintendo 64, PlayStation)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Nintendo Power <\/em>seemed to believe that two\u00a0Nintendo 64\u00a0games would revolutionize their respective\u00a0genres, and both were based on movies that would be\u00a0a couple years old by the time they were released.\u00a0 One was <em>GoldenEye 007<\/em>, and the other was <em>Mission: Impossible<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>If I remember correctly, the amount of hype surrounding <em>M:I <\/em>was even greater than the hype behind the Bond game.\u00a0 Early screenshots showed some fantastic lighting effects, as well as character models more realistic than we had ever seen!\u00a0 Indeed, this was shaping up to be something quite special.\u00a0\u00a0Even though I had never seen the Tom Cruise movie, I couldn&#8217;t wait to get my hands on\u00a0it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1084\" style=\"width: 1202px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/missionimp64d.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1084\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1084\" title=\"missionimp64d\" src=\"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/missionimp64d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1192\" height=\"618\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/missionimp64d.jpg 1192w, https:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/missionimp64d-300x155.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/missionimp64d-1024x530.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1192px) 100vw, 1192px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1084\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kinda dark, but this looked pretty incredible in &#8217;96.
