Nintendo (Game Boy Advance)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As illegal as it might have been, my first experience with this game was on an emulator.\u00a0 I ended up buying it because I loved it so much, so&#8230;\u00a0 I guess that&#8217;s a good thing?<\/p>\n<p>My niece\u00a0was born in early &#8217;04\u00a0on a day with\u00a0a snow storm of epic proportions.\u00a0\u00a0Though my memory of that event will be recalled in a post much later in my countdown, I only actually got to meet her about two months later.\u00a0 On\u00a0that\u00a0April day in Moncton, it seemed a bit surreal that I was holding a new member of the Suley family in my arms.\u00a0 After\u00a0putting her to sleep for the night,\u00a0we started the trip back to Fredericton.<\/p>\n<p>We stopped at Costco that evening, and I made an impulse buy &#8211; a brand new PC.\u00a0 I&#8217;d finally be able to download what I wanted, when I wanted, and could customize it to fit my needs!\u00a0 All those games I had purchased without having a PC to run them&#8230;\u00a0 I could run them now!\u00a0 I&#8217;d download a few emulators and roms, too!<\/p>\n<p>I had more money at the time, but bought\u00a0fewer games.\u00a0 Figure that one out.<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, one of the first roms I had to download was this <em>WarioWare <\/em>game that <em>EGM<\/em> had\u00a0given a rave review of.\u00a0 The screenshots looked incredibly strange, and I didn&#8217;t understand how such a concept could possibly work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zEVuHCD-tl0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At first, I really wasn&#8217;t sure what the heck I was supposed to do.\u00a0 It was all happening so fast!\u00a0 First it was telling me to catch a stick, then\u00a0it had me playing pinball with one of Wario&#8217;s boogers, then I had to raise this weird eel flag thing&#8230;\u00a0 what was going on?\u00a0 It was so random and weird, and I had to figure it all out so quick.\u00a0 Not that the controls were\u00a0difficult, since it was usually just a question of pressing a single button\u00a0or arrows on the control pad.<\/p>\n<p>I sat there in my room on my brand new PC, which was capable of playing the latest 3D games of the era without a problem.\u00a0\u00a0Yet here I was,\u00a0addicted to\u00a0a game built\u00a0for a system\u00a0made to fit in the palm of my hand.\u00a0 Forget <em>Medal of Honor: Allied Assault <\/em>and its expansions &#8211; I wanted to play\u00a0this game\u00a0forever!<\/p>\n<p><em>WarioWare <\/em>is random, weird, funny, crazy.\u00a0 The sequels are pretty much the exact same, and though they switch it up with motion controls (as in <em>Twisted!<\/em> and <em>Smooth Moves!<\/em>), I never really got into them quite as much as the original.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1479\" style=\"width: 399px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Heeere__s_Wario_by_Bonus_kun.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1479\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1479\" title=\"Heeere__s_Wario_by_Bonus_kun\" src=\"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Heeere__s_Wario_by_Bonus_kun.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"389\" height=\"302\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Heeere__s_Wario_by_Bonus_kun.jpg 389w, http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Heeere__s_Wario_by_Bonus_kun-300x232.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 389px) 100vw, 389px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1479\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Found this on deviantArt&#8230;
