Ubisoft Montreal (Xbox 360)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It may sound a bit crazy, but there was only one\u00a0video\u00a0I needed to see\u00a0to be sold on <em>Far Cry Instincts: Predator<\/em>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/g9LC1ikgINA\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I was aware of the awesomeness of <em>Far Cry Instincts <\/em>on the original Xbox for a few months before the Xbox 360 was even released.\u00a0 We&#8217;d get together at\u00a0my friends&#8217; apartment every Sunday evening, play some multiplayer games, watch <em>The Simpsons<\/em>, play for another 30 minutes, then watch <em>Family Guy <\/em>before I headed\u00a0home.\u00a0 <em>Far Cry <\/em>was one of the games that we played the most.<\/p>\n<p>This is actually one of the few games I know more for its awesome multiplayer than for its single player campaign.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not sure if I&#8217;ve touched on this in prior entries (though I probably have), but I&#8217;ve never been big on multiplayer games.\u00a0 Yeah, they&#8217;re fun, and yeah, it adds a nice layer of competition when talking about games with friends&#8230;\u00a0 but growing up, I had to rely on my own gaming experiences, just because I lived so far out of town.<\/p>\n<p>Games like <em>GoldenEye 007 <\/em>and <em>Halo <\/em>had come and gone by then, and I had gotten some enjoyment out of other\u00a0multiplayer shooters as well&#8230;\u00a0 but there was something about <em>Far Cry <\/em>that got me truly pumped up to play it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gLbynf-7Ay8\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The mode that we most\u00a0consistently played was 4-player &#8220;Predator&#8221;.\u00a0 At the beginning of the round, one of the four players is given the role of the Predator, whose superior speed and extremely powerful melee attacks provide\u00a0definite advantages.\u00a0 The other three players are tasked with activating a beacon that, if left running long enough, can kill the Predator for good and end the match.<\/p>\n<p>You could also design your own multiplayer maps with the level editor, which was pretty in-depth.\u00a0 You could design some pretty funky stuff with it if you were creative enough!<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and the Xbox 360 version has two full single player campaigns on it.\u00a0 They&#8217;re pretty great too!<\/p>\n<p>This game didn&#8217;t\u00a0re-invent the wheel or anything, but we had an absolute blast with it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1229\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/fiveminutes.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1229\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1229\" title=\"fiveminutes\" src=\"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/fiveminutes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/fiveminutes.jpg 640w, http:\/\/www.controlpadblues.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/fiveminutes-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1229\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">&#8220;FIVE MINUTES OF KILLIN&#8217;
